Don’t get caught in the Web

FBI Director Rober Mueller is supporting a law that will make service providers keep logs of every client and their whereabouts on the Internet.

“As we all recognize, cyber crime is a growing threat,” he said. “Today, terrorists coordinate their plans cloaked in the anonymity of the Internet, as do violent sexual predators prowling chat rooms.”

I don’t go anywhere *that* unusual, but that doesn’t mean I want my service provider using my cookies against me. Seriously, the US already polices the world, why not the world wide web? The ever present *threat* of terrorism is spurning a lot of controversial moves to invade law abiding citizen’s privacy.

Is it worth it? What do you think?
