Microsoft Vista
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006It has come to my attention that Microsoft is adding another workup to their line of widely available software. It bothers me a bit, because Mr. Gates has not been up to his normal standard of excellence. I guess he has gotten used to sleeping on that pile of money, and has since gotten lazy. It’s always a shame when the creator of such a fine piece of software becomes complacent.
The new Vista for Windows promises to be more user-oriented instead of PC oriented. There are a number of versions that will soon be widely available to consumers. The price ranges aren’t far from the norms for Microsoft products, but there will be an added feature that will protect the software from being distributed on the black market. Now, I know that sounds a bit far-fetched. I mean, with all the people on this earth that have the capabilities to make this software, there are just as many who can undo it.
All in all, I think that my fam might be migrating to Linux sooner than I had planned.
I would LOVE to see some screen shots of all the stuff that is touted to be inside Vista. Here is the preview version on the Microsoft site.
More techie news shortly.
