Movies go commercial
By Bulletz. Filed in General Tech |Literally. The next time you watch a movie you might get a surprise. Progressive Insurance Company has just launched a new campaign to get consumers more aware of their product. Yes folks, Progressive bought the right to advertise throughout a movie. Which movie? The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift on HD-DVD disc. “As cars smack into one another in Tokyo, a display in a small window keeps track” So you will see the financial damage as it occurs throughout the movie. Progressive is pushing their agenda hard on this one, especially since the HD-DVDs are relatively new and there is not a lot of market saturation right now. Just think, you will be able to figure out the potential auto insurance rate as you watch. Doesn’t sound appetizing? You could always go the old route and just look it up online through mass quoting agents like carinsurance.com.
Who knows where this technology will lead. I don’t doubt that you will soon be able to zoom in to a product in a movie and order it online through your television within the next few years.
