Samsung has been busy this year
By Bulletz. Filed in Computer Tech, Practical Tech |Samsung has just introduced a new 1 Gigabite Mobile DRAM chip…the largest capacity of its peers. It is meant for devices that are hand held and not laptops, though. I don’t doubt that the chip for laptops is in the works for early next year.
They have also released plans for a marathon fuel cell for laptops. The cell has methanol based fuel inside so I am unsure of how they will market this type of 8 hours per day/5 days a week/4 weeks in a row energy source safely. The concern of using these on an airplane has already been brought up. There is another smaller cell in the works that will be able to run a notebook for a week on a cup of coffee’s worth of fuel.
