Net neutrality site and Google team up.

Net Neutrality is a huge deal in the world right now. Freedom of access is being threatened as Congress closes in on a decision on control. Google is teaming up with the grassroots company Save The Internet to try and preserve freedom on the net. I signed the petition a while back when I first heard about the issue being raised. The Internet is the last real stronghold for free access. Public opinion is forthcoming all across the board and whether we agree with what is being said or not, it’s still out there. We shouldn’t have to pay to get a faster connection to the information that we desire. Nor should a few companies be able to monopolize and monetize the Internet in such a way.

It’s a shame that we have to have such wars in our own neck of the woods when there are way more important things for Congress to be messing around with…like, maybe getting our troops out of hostile territory, but that’s a post for another day.

Save the Internet!

Not surprising that the Government will take away the First Amendment rights on the internet. They are trying to do it to Grassroots organizations as well. In the name of ethics, we all must suffer!
