The OS race is on

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Linux is setting up its Vista counterattack. They are joining forces to make sure that their new operating system does not fail. If they do it right, they will be poised to truly rival or even take over the operating system race. Linux has become a more feasible alternative to Windows with their release of different levels of OS like Linux proper and Ubuntu.

Motorola in the UK

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingIt’s nice from time to time to look at the tech that is spawning across the globe. You already know that I am a globe trotter when it comes to tech news. I was looking around at cell phones recently and saw the Motorola K1. This thing is sleek. It comes in 3 standard colors and features a 2 megapixel camera, up to 400 minutes of talk time, up to 25 minutes of video with audio, and is bluetooth compatible.

MySpace safety issues catching up with them

Friday, January 19th, 2007

Myspace is finally being sued over safety issues. It has been a long time coming. Everyone has been buzzing over the issue of safety over social networks of late. Five teenage girls who claim sexual assault via men they met over the social network are in the process of claiming their due.

Spyware Review Site

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I hate trying to download a program that won’t work in the long run. It’s annoying and inconvenient. That’s why I would rather go to a review site and find out the truth beforehand. One of the most downloaded types of software is for spyware detection. Spyware Reviews are handy when you need to do some maintenance and don’t want to have to search around the width and breadth of the Net just to get a decent program. I love this site because they don’t pull any punches. Whether the comment is for or against a product, they will let it out to the public. Those are the kinds of reviews that the world needs. Give me honesty or don’t talk at all.

$100 laptop may be for public consumption

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

Rumor has it that the $100 laptop might just go for public use as well as use in the developing countries. Purchasers would have the obligation to buy two, one going to a developing country. Seems that there will be plenty of profit for all if they decide to use the $100 laptop in this way, not to mention a good number of children will be able to get started on their blog mogul careers.
