Digital Deadlines Looming
By Bulletz. Filed in General Tech |As of March 1, manufacturers have to have all their analog hardware and knobs exchanged for digital ones. This mean that televisions, VCRs, DVDs, and the like are going to have to get a small tweak in order to meet the FCC‘s demands. Digital will be the word by next February when all analog channels and equipment will have been completely replaced with their digital cousins. This doesn’t really affect consumers very much right now, but I have a feeling that when things start to break it will. Mind you, this doesn’t affect cable right now so there will be some major marketing for analog decoding devices built into electronics like DVRs and such.
