European PS3 doesn’t have a chip on its shoulder
By Bulletz. Filed in Gaming |With this move on the part of Sony to try and cut cost since the sales for the Playstation 3 are not going as well as they would like, they might have just sealed their fate.
The European version of the Playstation 3 will not have both the PS2 and PS3 computer chips. You would have to get some special software for the PS3 in order for it to play the majority of its predecessor’s games. This is going to be a hassle for many as the demand for less software and more compact consoles rises. It’s no wonder that Sony is trying to cut costs, since their release of the PS3 in the States and Japan has shown the weaknesses of the PS3 and game enthusiasts are flocking to the Wii gaming console.
Sony better get their act together or they won’t have any reason to stay in the gaming business.
