Review: Outpost Earth

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

A relatively new blog directory is getting some rave reviews. www.Outpost-Earth.com allows bloggers to add their blogs for free after signing up with the service. They will then be able to see their blog’s content being delivered in real time to the masses. Take your pick from a global category and a more specific category like Science & Technology or Religion & Spirituality. You are then taken to sub categories that will allow your blog to be targeted to specific as well as general audiences. Every time your blog is updated, their site picks it up through the RSS feed.

Interface is easy to use. Dark background, light words. Easy navigation through all the categories is a plus. There is an approval wait time, but I am told that it is short. I am signing up as I type to give you more information as I go through the experience of using this site. So far, so good!

Yahoo’s Global Ads take shape

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

Yahoo is at work yet again, now releasing their global ad campaign. This is going to be released on all mobile phone networks that allow access to Yahoo. Nineteen countries will be targeted through the new global campaign. The ads will be shown on Yahoo’s Web 2.0 homepage for mobile devices. All I can say is : at least they won’t be pop-up ads… well at least not yet.

Is your business working?

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Many of us thrive through the business we have on the Internet. What happens when your business site goes down? You might be losing money. I know that has happened to me a number of times when I had no idea what was going on. I would be happily surfing the Internet, then check my site and get a 404 error or *site not found* page. UGH! I started to use a monitoring service like Simple Server Monitor to get the information I needed about my server in a timely fashion. It’s not fun finding out that your server has been down for 12 hours AFTER the fact. Services like Simple Server eliminate the element of not knowing. I use a service that doesn’t have as many features as this one, but you can get this fully functioned service for 20% off right now. It’s usually $49.95. Since the service is in Beta they are willing to give you the discount with the coupon code V20BETA. Hurry! The coupon is only good till March 31st. ALSO when the service comes out of beta, the upgrade is free.

AT&T Jumps the bandwagon

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Qualcomm MediaFLO TV for cellphones will be hitting Cingular phones soon. In the wake of the Nokia deal, it looks like AT&T will be getting in on the game soon themselves. They have not determined how much they are charging or even what they will have available for people to watch on the cell TV, but I am sure that they will come up with something viable soon.

Managing your Real Estate

Monday, February 12th, 2007

If any of my readers are into the real estate game, you will want to look into some type of management system that will help you keep track of your investments. Real Estate Management Software is your best bet. This particular program is risk-free, so no worries if you find it’s not for you. Maximizing your business is the key to success. You can only do that if you are well organized in the early stages of building your future gold mine. Make sure to read about the benefits of the program. This will also help those who rent out their properties to manage leases and rent fees. I think it’s a great program with many easy fixes to piles of paperwork that can get misplaced.
