Science: Changing the form of blood

Scientists have found a way to make A, B and AB blood into group O negative blood that can be used for safe blood transfusions. They still need to do some testing, but the initial outlook for this technology is good. They are hoping that this will relieve the blood shortages that we have had. O negative blood can be used in all patients, whereas positive blood fluids cannot.

This is a technology to watch!
