Ubuntu and You
By Bulletz. Filed in Linux, Ubuntu |I just read somewhere that computers are now being shipped that have preloaded Ubuntu Linux-based software as the operating system. I say, good show. Why? Ubuntu has been one that I was testing for a while now. I run it on my laptop from the disk. I love it. If I wasn’t so Windows-dependent I would drop them like a dead fish and move on. Ubuntu has proven itself to be a worthy, reliable system. I enjoy the workspaces it gives me. Check out Ubuntu for yourself. It’s FREE.

You get those same workspaces in XP (and Vista, though I haven’t used them yet).
This will teach me for firing off a reply from the hip, because the name of the tool that does the workspace trick escapes me
Anyway, I’m a Linux user too, so I see what you mean.
If I could drop windows, I would, but only for the sheer cost over what I get back from it.
