Sticky Notes for my desktop

Friday, November 16th, 2007

I got sick of trying to locate the hoards of notes that I place all over my desk proper, so I downloaded a free Sticky Note program . I did try another one before this. It was more elegant, but I really didn’t like how I couldn’t actually hide all my notes. I don’t want everyone seeing what it is that I have on my to do list all the time.

Glad to have found a free program. I go with free most of the time, as that is my favorite price.

Targeted Email marketing

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

You might already be familiar with email marketing. The sole purpose of this marketing is to reach people where they usually go every single day. Most people who are on the Internet check their email at least once a day. Targeted email marketing is a huge resource for those of us who want to make our brand pop.

Emails are not unsolicited, as that would be considered spam. Only those users who opt in for the emails are contacted. It adds to your credibility as a company to use emails in this way. If you are interested in looking at more of what this medium has to offer, you can take a look through the 15 day free trial available at www.icontact.com. There is so much more to this form of marketing than meets the eye. Companies like iContact provide you with an affordable way to track and send out your newsletters, promotions, and other content through email. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Newer Gmail

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

What’s so new about it? Other than the fact that it is one click instant access to each email message instead of click and wait, what else changed? You tell me. I don’t see it! The newer Gmail boggles my mind. I have spoken with other more tech savvy people, and they can’t figure it out, either.

More on SocialSpark

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

The official release to the public won’t be until January. It’s an application that brings together the functionality of social networking. Instead of just between friends, advertisers can join in the fun. They are able to see blogger’s profiles without even logging in. Bloggers have friends lists, profiles for each of their blogs, and a way for you to see the posts they place on their blogs, sponsored and not.

It’s very web 2.0! You can find out even more from the people who saw it first. Check out Colleen’s post about what SocialSpark entails.
