Robotic deer fights poaching

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

If you are annoyed by illegal hunting like I am, you will agree that this is a step in the right direction. The robotic white-tailed deer is being used as a decoy.

“It’s an effective tool.” So effective, he’s become a regular customer of Custom Robotic Wildlife. Besides the deer, he’s also ordered six robo-turkeys from the company.

It seems the game wardens are jumping out of the bushes to arrest these poachers. There have been over 50 arrests already.

Get some more information about this.

Fresh beer from your counter top!

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

Okay, I am not a big fan of beer, but you have to respect the idea behind this product. The Beer Machine Model 2000 is a brewery that fits on your counter top. I don’t know what beer would taste like made from a mix, but someone somewhere must like it right? You get a mixer, a mix kit, and all the other parts you need to make this gadget work. At under $250, it’s not that expensive a gadget for extreme beer enthusiasts. You surely won’t find this microbrewery anywhere near my own kitchen!

What will you get for Christmas?

Friday, December 1st, 2006

I know everyone is in the market for all kinds of technology during the holiday, so tell me, what are you buying this season?

I am hoping to get a new digital camera be it from someone else or a gift to myself. I have a Kodak that is giving me troubles more and more, not to mention it only has 1.3 megapixels. I have such a time with it because it keeps having this “card door was opened” error which is bugging me because I don’t even have a card to put in the door, so the door rarely ever gets opened.

Another item I am in the market for is another laptop. I need the RAM!

Other than that “grown up” tech, I want to get my son the Fisher Price Art Easel and Digital Camera. He will enjoy them both. Between Christmas and his birthday, he should be able to get both.

Other than that, I don’t think we will be looking into anything else…a new blender maybe, but that’s it.

Gadgets: Did you know?

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

That a loofah *spelled luffa* is actually a vegetable? I didn’t know that either. Apparently you can make your own loofah sponge. Here are some instructions to show you how easy it really can be. You can buy your own seeds to grow the vegetable yourself. This is a great way to get a luffa sponge and have some as presents to give away *or sell them to others for a wicked profit*.
