Google Pass: Video and Voice Chat

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Apparently Google has made something else that actually works, and works quite well. I am not talking about Chrome (that thing is at least 35% FAIL). I am talking about their new video and voice chat.  A friend of mine who blogs The Black Tech Report has tried it himself and finished it out with a rave review. Make sure you go and read up about the new flavor of Google.

Re-installing Google Chrome

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Only because of this statement that has now replaced the mumbo jumbo bullmess from before:

11. Content license from you

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

That is what the new Terms of Service say. It happened a few weeks back, but I was out of the loop for a minute. This post is for anyone else that might have missed it, too.

Google Chrome: I was right

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

In their Terms Of Service it pretty much says all your content are belong to us. I checked it out myself. Chrome is fast as all get out. It’s sleek, uses minimal amounts of memory, gives you the option to browse more quickly through your most visited sites…but since I have to give up all my rights to all my content, comments, or whatever I post through Chrome, I say NO THANK YOU. I promptly uninstalled Chrome *not that I was planning on keeping it anyway*. I was, however, planning to watch it develop as a viable application, but in light of this I think I will pass until they change their legal jargon so that it doesn’t include stealing my soul.

Google Chrome: No they didnt!

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

I cannot believe that someone sat down and made a more than twenty page virtual comic book to explain what it is that Google Chrome does. Holy crap! I stopped clicking “next” at page 21. Yeah it sounds good, but all our sites are belong to Google already. They have taken over YouTube and a number of other places that are visited every day, but they want to have it all. They are becoming like Proctor & Gamble. Sure I would like to boycott them because they give money to satanists, but it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE to do so because there are so many products that are necessary for every day life that are made by that company.

Of course, since the browser is open source, I bet you anything that the people at Mozilla are ready and waiting to paw through the code so they can use some of it for Firefox 4. Internet Explorer 8 is about to be unleashed, but when this goes public I can guarantee they will be doing the same in hopes that IE9 will soar above the rest.

Chrome is supposed to be ready sometime today. I would love to hear what other people think once they get it on their system. As for me, I may or may not try it out due to the fact that I don’t want Google all over my stuff. I think they are the anti-christ come to bring about the real nature of “Google Earth“.

Gslap: The new internet pimp slap by Google

Friday, November 16th, 2007

Well it has happened. Google has Gslapped many a blog and website down to pageranks of ZERO. At first, it seemed that only the sites that monetized with applications other than Big G products were getting killed. Now, it’s not so evident.

One theory was that all the blogs that mention pay to blog or pay to link sites in their core posts were getting killed. I know for a fact that isn’t true. One of my own sites that has never mentioned any pay to anything site was knocked to a zero. It really makes no sense. Another of my sites has not ever mentioned those companies and was smacked.

The real question is: What are they trying to prove?

They keep it up and all those antitrust lawsuits they are currently fighting will become a no win situation for the Big G.
