oidfj aoei
I cannot believe that someone sat down and made a more than twenty page virtual comic book to explain what it is that Google Chrome does. Holy crap! I stopped clicking “next” at page 21. Yeah it sounds good, but all our sites are belong to Google already. They have taken over YouTube and a number of other places that are visited every day, but they want to have it all. They are becoming like Proctor & Gamble. Sure I would like to boycott them because they give money to satanists, but it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE to do so because there are so many products that are necessary for every day life that are made by that company.

Of course, since the browser is open source, I bet you anything that the people at Mozilla are ready and waiting to paw through the code so they can use some of it for Firefox 4. Internet Explorer 8 is about to be unleashed, but when this goes public I can guarantee they will be doing the same in hopes that IE9 will soar above the rest.

Chrome is supposed to be ready sometime today. I would love to hear what other people think once they get it on their system. As for me, I may or may not try it out due to the fact that I don’t want Google all over my stuff. I think they are the anti-christ come to bring about the real nature of “Google Earth“.

oidfj aoei
Not really. I rather enjoy Flocking the interweb. Flock is a social networking browser. It is chock full of useful applications that don’t require any addons or plugins. You are able to set up your accounts through Flock and have one click access to it all. I can upload photos to Flickr or Photobucket directly from the browser and blog them or share them in minutes.

I can check up on my friends on sites like Facebook and Twitter. I can blog to my self hosted sites and a good number of free hosting sites. I can even access my bookmarks in del.icio.us.

If you are a Firefox user, you will love the fact that most of the extensions and add-ons you can use in FF are compatible for use in Flock. Just go to the addons page for FF and download as you would if you were using FF. I have added nearly all my other addons without problems.

Want to get a glimpse of what I’m talking about? Check out the Flickr stream of screenshots. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

oidfj aoei
Since I am traveling outside of my comfort zone in about 24 hours, I have been looking to see if the things that are offered where I am going are the same as here. This search has taken me to websites about Broadband ISP services around the world. I was really shocked to find that AOL offers a Broadband UK package. There are also a bunch of service providers that I don’t recognize that offer comparable services overseas.

I am not visiting a foreign country, as it were, even though their major language is not English. I found out that they, too, have broadband. With all the mountains, I would think it to be nearly impossible to do. Broadband Internet has pretty much taken over. I wouldn’t be surprised if they DID get the service into the rain forests or even throughout the deserts.
