SEO: New way to pay for play

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Organic rankings are the key to great SEO. There is a search engine optimization company that allows you to pay for performance. What does this mean? You can pay monthly for your plan according to the number of top ten rankings they get your links from the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, and MSN. There is a set up fee, but it’s marginal compared to the savings you get from only paying for what you gain. If you don’t get a minimum of ten top 10 rankings for any given month in your agreement, that month is free. That’s the best deal I have seen thus far.

New Pixel Advertiser: BlueGaya

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

A new way to get your sites notices is emerging as the next big thing in free marketing: Pixel advertising. What is it?

You can go to a site like BlueGaya:.Network and add your website or blog for free. It then stays in a little box on their site indefinitely. People can come by and see your website in this little box which, when rolled over, will render a bigger picture. The person can then click on the picture and go to your site. As people click on your site, it goes up in their search rankings and gets more exposure.

It’s a relatively new idea, and I can see many sites coming up in the future that will do the same. BlueGaya has a lovely flash interface with menus and information about their site. Keep your eye on them for more websites coming soon.

Need a design and a host?

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

We all know how costly it can be to have a site hosted or designed. Someone is making both Wesite Design and hosting painless, though. The kicker: It’s all for less than $20 a month. I couldn’t believe it so I had to go and read it for myself. You contract for them to do a design for your site. You tell them what you expect and need out of the design. They then take your input and design your site for you within 72 hours. You get to see the design, approve it, and get it all hosted for you. Hassle free. Pain free. The hosting package is nice, too. You have to see all the benefits of using their service.

If I was a designer novice or didn’t want to be bothered with trying to learn, this type of service would definitely appeal to me. People with businesses who don’t have the resources or time to make their own sites will find this service a proverbial God-send. Let me know if you decide to take them up on their offer. I would love to see the kinds of websites they come up with for you.

Video Brochures: A whole new dimension in Marketing

Monday, February 26th, 2007

Small businesses should definitely take a look at this. You can now utilize popular video sites like YouTube, Google, and Myspace to broadcast a movie brochure. It’s a new innovation in getting your product or service out there even further. Marketing Small Business‘s movies can also be offered on the ever famous iPod and embedded into a website. The project cost is under $500 but the residuals off of that are priceless. This small investment could mean big bucks in a short time for your company.

It’s a market that is relatively untapped. The major point in getting this type of project done is that you are not only getting your business noticed, people who like it will then email the video to their friends. They will tell others about it in their circles. They will even download it to their iPods and show it off to people at parties and functions. The possibility for exponential growth is there. It’s a matter of making the leap to get the brochure done and having it available to the millions who use these online video resources on a daily basis.

I have a background in advertising, myself, and I can already see the value of this service. As soon as I read about it I had to let people know.
