If sharing everything you do on things like twitter wasn’t enough, TypePad has just launched BLOGIT. You are now able to add an application in Facebook that will allow you to blog and tweet and pownce till your heart’s content. It works with all the major blog platforms, as you can see by the extensive amount ot finy little icons surrounding the sign. I don’t know that I am going to like all this quadrupled amount of repetitive information. Just imagine what this will mean for advertisers who daily look for better ways to send out massive amounts of ad text all in one shot.

oidfj aoei
U-Doo is a new avatar application from Wirefly. I have been checking out this interesting interface for making an avatar. I actually have it on my Myspace. It has been there for a few days. It was easy to add in. All I did was make my avatar with their website, click to let it know I wanted to add it to my myspace profile, and it asked me for my login info so that it could be added automagically.

I was reassured that they weren’t keeping my login information.

You can do more than just add the avatar you make to your Myspace. The main function is to add it to your cell phone to be used as a ringtone. You can also email it to your friends. You tell the avatar what to say via text or a phoned in message and in what voice to say it in. There are premade voices for text entry, but you would have your own voice if you phone it in yourself.

Downloading to your phone starts a subscription service that is free for the first 60 days and after that only $4.99 a month for unlimited usage. Email and Myspace options are free for users.

Making the avatar was fun and easy. Most of it is self explanatory. I didn’t get that the goofy looking smile up at the top right of Accessories was actually a necklace till I clicked it. Here is what the interface looks like *click for a close-up*:

Overall, it’s a cute idea. I hope that they add more avatar faces and voices so you have more variety with choosing. I like to make avatars look like myself. It’s a little hard to find someone that does look like me, but I got as close as I could get. You can do the comparisons yourself when you see the finished product on my Myspace page.

If you like to read background information, make sure to check out the info page on Wirefly.net.

oidfj aoei
The message is loud and clear. The courts will not hold Myspace accountable for the actions of individual parties that use the site. I have to say that I am not surprised. How can Myspace make sure that child molesters are not frequenting the lines? How can Myspace reach out from the Internet to make sure that kids and pedophiles don’t end up meeting each other? It’s not their responsibility. As I said before, it’s the responsibility of the parents to make sure their kids aren’t ending up in these predicaments. I can’t stress educating your children about the dangers of social networking and meeting in person enough!
