New Pixel Advertiser: BlueGaya

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

A new way to get your sites notices is emerging as the next big thing in free marketing: Pixel advertising. What is it?

You can go to a site like BlueGaya:.Network and add your website or blog for free. It then stays in a little box on their site indefinitely. People can come by and see your website in this little box which, when rolled over, will render a bigger picture. The person can then click on the picture and go to your site. As people click on your site, it goes up in their search rankings and gets more exposure.

It’s a relatively new idea, and I can see many sites coming up in the future that will do the same. BlueGaya has a lovely flash interface with menus and information about their site. Keep your eye on them for more websites coming soon.

Add your blog, get traffic

A brand new directory of blogs and websites has been unleashed. The Geeky Speeky Blog and Website directory is free to submit a link to, just as long as you reciprocate. Above that it, you pay a mere $5 for a link with no reciprocal, or $10 for a featured link. I have been systematically submitting my own blogs there, and find that I am already getting spikes in traffic. Join up and see how far your blog or website will go.

Review: Blog for Work at Home Women

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

I was asked to take a look at a blog by Doris. She is a work at home woman and cunning blogger. I was only recently introduced to her network of blogs and must say that I am impressed. Home Office Women:A Meeting Place for All Home Office Women has a simple, elegant layout. Everything is right at your finger tips. There is a featurette that she publishes about a special H.O.W. woman. The blog covers search engine optimization, suggestions for bloggers, information about how to make money, and so much more. I am still looking through all the goodies on this site. I am definitely adding it to the blogroll here at Tech It Like A Man.
