Microsoft and Google’s Feud

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

I just got finished reading a blurb about the whole acquisition and I laughed out loud. Honestly, I think it’s hilarious that Microsoft is having a cow over Google taking over Doubleclick.

Google = Antichrist. What did they THINK was going to happen? Read the Bible! The Antichrist takes over the world and lulls it into a sense of “I’m okay, you’re okay” while he thinks “all your content are belong to me”. Google is in the position to take over the Internet on all levels. They are releasing their own pay per link advertising and ousting their competition. Soon every ad on every website will be powered by Google. Just wait and see what their next acquisition is…

Review: Outpost Earth

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

A relatively new blog directory is getting some rave reviews. www.Outpost-Earth.com allows bloggers to add their blogs for free after signing up with the service. They will then be able to see their blog’s content being delivered in real time to the masses. Take your pick from a global category and a more specific category like Science & Technology or Religion & Spirituality. You are then taken to sub categories that will allow your blog to be targeted to specific as well as general audiences. Every time your blog is updated, their site picks it up through the RSS feed.

Interface is easy to use. Dark background, light words. Easy navigation through all the categories is a plus. There is an approval wait time, but I am told that it is short. I am signing up as I type to give you more information as I go through the experience of using this site. So far, so good!

Eyetab is a new Web 2.0 application where you can post your views on different video clips. It’s Everything TV: News, Reviews and More has user-generated content with the users picking what’s good and what’s not. It’s has a light interface, easy to use options, and free membership. TV enthusiasts will love sharing their favorite clips with others online. It’s unlike other sites because it focuses mainly on video and not blogs or news articles.

Yahoo bought MyBlogLog

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Just thought you should know that MyBlogLog is about to change. Yahoo bought it *like they said they might* for a shade under $10mill. MyBlogLog is a different kind of social network where bloggers can share their blogs more efficiently and build communities around their blogs. They also feature a neat little interface to add to your blogs to show which people from MyBlogLog came to visit your site. I use the service myself, so I will be waiting to see the good, the bad, and the ugly of this acquisition.
